Schulz’s answer was too generically focused on the importance of justice writ large, and had very little to say specifically on the topic of racial disparity in the criminal justice system or society generally.
Rice detailed a platform of fairness that emphasized reform in criminal justice system, and she displayed a clear awareness of racial disparities in the justice system. However, we felt her answer lacked specific details about how to promote systemic change regarding race.
